Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

Rainbow P-12 College offers a two-year VCE program for students in Years 11 and 12, designed to provide flexibility and support for diverse academic and career pathways. In Year 11, students undertake Units 1 and 2 across a variety of subjects, with the opportunity to refine their choices and focus on Units 3 and 4 in Year 12. This structure allows students to build a strong foundation in Year 11 and pursue a focused academic pathway in their final year.

The VCE program at Rainbow P-12 College is tailored to support students’ individual learning needs. Smaller class sizes in Units 3 and 4 foster strong student-teacher relationships, while providing ample opportunities for one-on-one guidance. Many teachers also offer additional support through extra sessions in the mornings, at lunchtime, or after school to reinforce learning and prepare students for assessments.

Wellbeing Wednesday provides VCE students with a dedicated day free from structured classes, allowing them to focus on independent study, revision, or project work. Students have the flexibility to seek extra help from teachers, work on assignments, or prepare for exams in a supportive school environment. This unstructured study time helps students manage their workload and access individualised support as needed.
